Dante (owner of Dialectics) has been an inspiration and has become a constant to Anomaly. I appreciate his individuality, he writes things that most of us are scared to write. Do you feel safe?

Feelings. I feel safe more often than I don’t. Today, I feel safe. There’s this assurance of safety in believing that God is looking out for me — in every capacity.

What is the one thing you want at this moment?

To go away… I want to be in a place where I can be quite, pray, be creative and enjoy peace — at least for a few days, alone.

What are you reading right now? (besides this post of course)

Hahaha, I am reading The World Changer’s Manifesto by Robin Sharma. It’s like a summary of most of his works. There are so many great insights, lessons and thought provoking ideas. He has become a favorite, I love his writing and energy.

What’s playing in your headphones?

I didn’t listen to music today, but Obinasom by Mercy Chinwo has been on repeat for about a week now. When she says, “See the way You love me. See the way You care for me…” it hits home. Every time — okay, imma play it right after I finish this.

How are you – mentally?

I think my mind is tired. Also, I think I have so many ideas and thoughts I have to release in order for my mind to feel at ease — I’m working on it. So, we can say I am doing just fine.

May you teach me something from/about your country/culture?

Well, Dante. Mmmh… My culture — I am going to pass. Being Zimbabwean is complicated sometimes.

Is there anything about the world you would like to see change?

The way we respond to what happens around us. We need to stop reacting impulsively to events that take place — ultimately blowing things out of proportion or missing the opportunity to make the best decisions. There’s so much noise in the world because we are more reactive than responsive. Sigh

I’ve visited your city, what are you showing me?

Ohh maaan! We should go see the Newlands forest — I have very little knowledge of cool places in the city, but I’ve crushed on the forest since a friend of mine showed me pictures of her hiking there. It seems so peaceful and refreshing. There’s a lake too… and a view of the mountain. You’d like it — I think.

Given the option to move to anywhere, would you? Why would or wouldn’t you?

Italy. That’s my dream destination. The country is radiant and rich with soul!

Are you still in touch with your inner child? If so, do you mind telling me about them?

Yes I am. She get piggy back rides from daddy, dances for mama, dreams wild, sings so loud in the house and craves Cerelac (cos she never had it as a baby) lol

PS: The editing that goes into these kind of posts makes me question my decision to blog in the first place. Like why technology, why you gotta be extra…
